MENGUNGKAP “VISI KEJAHATAN” DALAM PERUMPAMAAN SEPULUH GADIS (MAT. 25:1-13)
Abstract
Perumpamaan sepuluh gadis selalu dibaca dengan pendekatan alegoris; bahwa lima gadis bodoh yang tidak mempersiapkan minyak ketika menanti sang mempelai adalah gambaran manusia yang tidak siap sedia dalam menantikan kedatangan Kerajaan Allah; lima gadis bijaksana lainnya adalah mereka yang siap; dan mempelai laki-laki yang disejajarkan dengan figur Yesus. Namun pembacaan demikian menghilangkan “ketegangan” yang muncul. Dengan pendekatan tafsir naratif-kritis, artikel ini menawarkan pembacaan bahwa elemen “kejahatan” justru hadir dalam perumpamaan sepuluh gadis. Kejahatan itu terletak pada sikap tidak welas asih yang ditunjukkan oleh lima gadis bijaksana dan mempelai laki-laki. Elemen kejutan seperti 1) Tidak adanya mempelai perempuan, 2) Siapakah kesepuluh gadis?, 3) Siapakah penjual minyak yang buka tengah malam? 4) Pesta apa yang diadakan tengah malam, dan 5) Keterlambatan mempelai laki-laki akan dijawab dalam artikel ini. Artikel ini juga menawarkan pandangan bahwa Matius 25:31-46 justru merupakan ‘kesimpulan’ dari perumpamaan sepuluh gadis, dan lima gadis bijaksana serta mempelai laki-laki gagal melakukannya.
